Prosper Path Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 11, 2026
Provider: Choral Software
Contact: info@choralsoft.com

This privacy policy applies to the Prosper Path mobile application and related support services provided by Choral Software. It follows the mobile-app policy structure offered by the open-source App Privacy Policy Generator by Nishant Srivastava and has been customized to reflect Prosper Path’s reviewed implementation.

Information collection and use

Prosper Path is designed to work without account registration or a bank, brokerage, payroll, or tax-service login. The app may contain fictional sample data. Financial accounts, transactions, holdings, goals, notes, documents, settings, journals, planning assumptions, AI prompts, and generated responses that you enter are designed to remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Choral Software does not intentionally receive your local financial dataset through ordinary use of these local features.

Local artificial intelligence

Prosper Path uses supported on-device Apple Foundation Models when available and provides a deterministic local fallback. Financial context, prompts, and generated responses are intended to be processed and retained locally. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and is educational only. Do not treat it as individualized investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Network-backed features

Some optional functions require a network connection:

  • Public ticker, price, filing, or mutual-fund lookups may send the symbol, company name, or search phrase you request to services such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Yahoo Finance-style endpoints, or Nasdaq.
  • In-app purchase and entitlement operations are processed by Apple through StoreKit.
  • The non-Premium version may request advertising and consent services through Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform.

Prosper Path does not intentionally add your balances, holdings, private notes, documents, or AI conversations to public market-data requests. Network providers may nevertheless process IP address, device information, request metadata, and other information under their own policies.

Third-party services

The app may use services operated by Apple, Google, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Yahoo, and Nasdaq. Their handling of information is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Advertising and tracking

Non-Premium versions may display Google AdMob interstitial advertisements. The advertising SDK may process identifiers, approximate location, product interactions, advertising data, crash information, performance information, and other diagnostics depending on device settings, region, consent, and Choral Software’s production configuration. Premium removes interstitial ads.

Choral Software will request consent or App Tracking Transparency permission when required. Denying tracking permission does not authorize access to your local financial records. Consult Google’s current documentation and the App Store privacy label for the production version’s declared practices.

Storage, retention, and deletion

Local app data remains on the device until you edit or delete it, clear or reset app data, or uninstall the app. Some Keychain items can survive an uninstall under iOS behavior; the app includes logic intended to identify a reinstall and clean stale security material. Backup behavior depends on your device and backup settings.

You can delete individual records and local coaching memory inside the app. You can delete the app to remove its app container. Information you independently exported or shared must be deleted from its destination separately.

Advertising, purchase, and public-data providers retain information according to their own policies. Contact info@choralsoft.com to ask about personal data, if any, held directly by Choral Software through support communications.

Security

Prosper Path uses authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption for its local snapshot and Prosper Path backup files. A random encryption key and the six-digit PIN verifier are protected using iOS Keychain; the PIN itself is not stored. The Private Vault uses encrypted local storage. Data is decrypted in memory when required for display or processing.

No security measure is perfect. Protect your device with a strong passcode, Face ID or Touch ID where available, current operating-system updates, and backups you control. Review exports before sharing them.

Your choices and rights

You may avoid optional market-data lookups, decline applicable advertising consent, purchase Premium to remove interstitial advertising, clear local memory, delete local records, or uninstall the app. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal data held by Choral Software. Contact info@choralsoft.com. Choral Software does not sell your locally stored financial dataset.

Children’s privacy

Prosper Path is not directed to children under 18, and Choral Software does not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Choral Software, contact us so it can be addressed.

International processing

Third-party network providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their policies describe their transfer safeguards. Local Prosper Path financial data remains subject to your device and backup configuration unless you export or share it.

Changes to this policy

Choral Software may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or service-provider changes. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may also be communicated in the app or on the support site. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
