Effective date: September 28, 2026
Choral Software (“Choral,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) built Wacky Arithmetic as a family-friendly educational game. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Summary
Wacky Arithmetic does not require a Choral Software account. Core game information stays on your device. We do not sell personal information. The app does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or precise location.
Information stored on the device
The app stores player names, selected difficulty, scores, accuracy and question statistics, rewards and virtual-item balances, purchased themes and power-ups, audio and speech preferences, tutorial state, and purchase entitlement status locally on the device. This information is used to run the game, personalize play, and show progress. It is not sent to a Choral Software server.
Player names are free-form and remain local. Parents and guardians should use a nickname rather than a child’s full legal name. Profiles can be renamed or deleted in the app. Local app information can also be removed by deleting the app from the device.
Advertising
The free version may use Google Mobile Ads to display advertising. The app configures ad requests for child-directed and under-age treatment, requests general-audience content, does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not intentionally use the device advertising identifier for personalized advertising. Depending on the device, region, and Google’s systems, Google and its partners may nevertheless process limited technical information such as IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver, secure, measure, and prevent fraud in advertising.
Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform provides privacy notices or choices before ads are requested. A parent or guardian can revisit available privacy choices from the app’s Privacy screen. Purchasing Premium removes third-party advertising.
During development and testing, Wacky Arithmetic uses Google-provided test advertising identifiers. Production advertising identifiers will replace them before App Store release.
Purchases
Premium is an in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes payment and account information under Apple’s policies. Choral receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock Premium, but does not receive your full payment-card details. Purchase and restore actions are placed behind a grown-up check.
During development and testing, the app uses a test in-app purchase product identifier. A production product will replace it before App Store release.
Speech, sound, and sharing
Optional spoken questions use Apple’s built-in text-to-speech service. Wacky Arithmetic does not record a child’s voice and does not request microphone access. Sounds and music are bundled with the app.
If a parent completes the grown-up check and chooses Share, iOS displays the system share sheet. Information then goes only to the destination the parent selects and is handled under that destination’s policy. External website links are also protected by a grown-up check.
Children’s privacy
Wacky Arithmetic is designed to minimize information collection from children. There is no chat, public profile, behavioral advertising, or Choral-operated online account. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information to Choral outside the app may contact us so we can investigate and delete it where applicable.
Service providers
- Apple: App Store distribution, in-app purchases, device services, and optional system sharing. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Google: child-directed advertising and consent/privacy-choice tools in the free version. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Retention and security
Local game information remains until a profile is deleted, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Purchase history is retained by Apple under Apple’s policies. Advertising providers retain information according to their own legal obligations and retention practices. We use reasonable safeguards and data minimization, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Turn music, sound effects, or spoken questions off in the app.
- Delete or rename local player profiles.
- Use the Privacy screen to review available advertising privacy choices.
- Purchase Premium to remove ads.
- Delete the app to remove its local data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date above and post the updated policy on this page.
