Numeroot
Build confident prealgebra skills with verified practice, visual learning tools, private on-device guidance, and a study workspace that keeps learning data close.
Numeroot is a privacy-conscious mathematics learning app for Android, iPhone, and iPad. It brings lessons, practice, notes, flashcards, progress, and optional on-device AI together in an approachable workspace for independent learners, families, and classrooms.
Learn and practice with confidence
- Explore foundational topics including whole numbers, algebra language, integers, fractions, decimals, percents, real numbers, equations, geometry, polynomials, graphs, and cumulative review.
- Work through generated practice with immediate answer checking based on deterministic math—not generated guesses.
- Use hints, worked steps, chapter-aligned topics, and interactive visual models.
- Review attempts and progress stored locally on your device.
Study tools in one place
- Create and organize personal study notes.
- Review flashcards by topic.
- Move between today’s practice, chapters, the tutor, and your study library.
- Use visual manipulatives to explore fractions, percents, integers, and other concepts.
Numeroot for Android
The Android edition combines verified practice with optional private AI tools that run on your device:
- On-device tutor: Download the Qwen 2.5 1.5B model and use MediaPipe LLM Inference for local tutoring.
- Offline voice input: Download the Whisper tiny English model and dictate questions without using a cloud speech-recognition service.
- Resumable, verified downloads: Large model downloads resume after interruptions and are checked before use.
- Your choice: The learning workspace works without downloading AI models, and text input works without microphone permission.
The Android edition does not require an account. The current release does not include advertising, in-app purchases, cloud AI, or a Choral Software analytics SDK. Optional model files are downloaded directly from Hugging Face and can require substantial storage and memory.
Numeroot for iPhone and iPad
The Apple edition includes an OpenStax-based prealgebra textbook with search, bookmarks, chapter navigation, and saved reading position, plus aligned practice, page-linked notes, flashcards, goals, and progress review.
On supported Apple Intelligence devices, Numeroot can provide on-device guidance. Optional Premium tools include on-device camera and handwriting recognition, adaptive practice, diagnostics, expanded analytics, study planning, and progress sharing. The free Apple edition may display Google-served ads after applicable consent choices; Premium removes ads.
Privacy-conscious by design
Numeroot does not require an account. Notes, practice history, preferences, and supported AI activity are designed to remain in the app’s local storage. Android microphone audio is processed locally for transcription, and AI prompts and responses are processed on-device. Network access on Android is used to download optional model files when you request them.
